Friday the 13th is a horror movie franchise that has been around since 1980. In it, there is an iconic villain known as Jason Voorhees who has become one of the most recognizable characters in all of horror cinema. However, if you are not familiar with this character or have yet to watch any of the movies, then be warned – spoilers ahead!
Who Is Jason?
Jason Voorhees was originally introduced as a young boy whose mother had drowned him at Camp Crystal Lake due to negligence from camp counselors. He returns years later as an adult and becomes a serial killer preying on anyone who dares enter his home turf. His signature weapon is a machete which he uses to gruesomely murder his victims. Over time, he develops supernatural abilities such as superhuman strength and invulnerability making him even more dangerous than before.
What Happens To Him?
Throughout the course of the series, we see many different versions of Jason including zombie-like creatures and other monsters created by science experiments gone wrong. Eventually though, we learn that he can only truly die when someone manages to destroy his mask – something no one has ever managed to do until now…in Friday The 13th Part 10 (2009). At long last after over 30 years worth of films featuring our favorite slasher icon; someone finally succeeds in destroying his mask thus killing off our beloved antihero once and for all!
Conclusion:
Though fans may never get another chance to witness new adventures involving their favorite hockey masked murderer; they will always remember how much fun it was watching him wreak havoc across multiple generations throughout decades worth of classic horror films!
